Default Inlet to Front or Rear of Rails? Coldest?

Getting ready to bolt on some holley fuel rails that have inlets/outlets on both sides and utilizing a return system with a regulator post rails.

I'd like the coldest fuel to hit #7 and #8 first, I would expect putting the inlet on the rear of the rail and the outlet on the front would accomplish this.

I don't expect there would be more than a few degree temperature in the fuel either way. Was curious if anyone had looked into this before.
