I have an 01 Ws6 and was wanting to finally put my VFN 5" cowl Ram Air hood on it, but what do I do with the Ram Air? How do I get it to work? I have a K&N FIPK, should I just use that?

This is the hood I have, but mine is the PIN ON so there's no frame on the belly of it.

I may be totally off here, but as long as there are holes in the nostrils, then it's a functional ram air, correct? Air needs to be able to get to the filter or ram air box/lid, whichever setup you have is irrelevant.

Good ram air typically come from an under the car scoop to a sealed air lid setup, not from the hood. The "ram air hood" was a marketing gimmick.

If you want Ram Air, go with a SSRA or Chris1313 setup..

Agreed. Cut holes in the nostrils and add either of those and you're money.
