Default vss(vehicle speed sensor) not working. any ideas?

Ok I did a motor swap with a few upgrades recently. When dropping the tranny (4l60e), I broke the vss sensor PIGTAIL. After completing the swap I replaced the pigtail. But the vss is still not working... tranny wont shift and speedo won't work. ...

Could it be the sensor itself?
Any ideas appreciated. ...

The force on the pigtail may have damaged the sensor itself. IIRC, they are less than $20 for local parts stores and about $14 on Amazon.

Try a sensor and go from there. If nothing else it's worth having an extra on some of the sensors like the VSS, Crank Position, MAP, and Temperature sending unit in the trunk/toolbox.

That is so true. I have a spare of every sensor plus extra injectors and coil packs; this with HP Tuners scanner lets me diagnose almost any problem win minutes.
