Pusher fan help for Huron turbo build
I would like to get some help on choosing pusher fans for my turbo build. Derale 16925 are on back order with no definite date. So my question is, what are some comparible set ups if could use instead of the Derale? the more detail the better! Thanks for your help...2001 ws6.

hook up a vacuum hose to just few inches before the radiator run the other side into your cab and have it come out by the pillar gauge. When it gets hot pull hose in to mouth and blow. The amount of heat that is cooled will be controlled by how much you blow into the hose. For cooler temps insert ice into mouth before you blow in to the straw.

I got tired of waiting on fans and didn't really want to do pushers anyways so here's what I did with the help of a buddy who is more skilled in this type of thing.
Don't have a lot of pics but here's some pics of the crude cuts and some others.
Notched the underside of top support
Cut the lower support off flush with the frame rail. Then did some additional cutting/welding and boxed it in. Leaving only the part that the radiator actually sits on.
Welded that piece to the intercooler with some small triangle supports on each side for additional strength.
And boom stock radiator with stock fans and enough clearance to make me happy.

My car just got done having a Huron Speed kit put on it and my shop had no problems finding pusher fans for it. The hottest I have seen the temp gauge go is 200 so it stays pretty cool and they are loud when they come on so I know they move a lot of air. I will ask them what they used and get back to you guys.

I'm in the same boat. I've had my fans on order from jegs since march. So you guys are saying we can leave the fan setup alone if we're willing to do some grinding?! This the same for the A/C kit? Cause I'll grind the **** out of stuff to save ~250 bones and keep the fans in stock location lol

I used the jegs brand low profile 12" reversible set up. I currently have them mounted as pushers but I am hoping I end up with enough room to flip them around. I still need a motor so no results but with some careful grinding I was able to get a good fit. The fans are sandwiched between an edge of the front support and the radiator. The built in shroud has weather stripping all around the edge and it is sitting compressed and in contact with the radiator on all sides. Should prevent forced air from escaping anywhere other than through the radiator.
I can take additional pics if it would help.

I am watching this thread closely. I am about to start my install as well and hope to not be hung up waiting on fans if something similar has been proven to work.
I know many companies make similar sized fans. I just want to hear some proven success stories about them.
