Default SS spoiler install

I am finally looking to get the SS spoiler I picked up a while back installed.

Is there an adapter I need to connect the LED brake light to the Z28 harness?

Is there any kind of a pad or something that fits under the two center posts of the SS spoiler?

Is there anything else I need that I'm not thinking about?

Thanks
Tony

i bought a ss spoiler from the spoiler company probably about a year ago. it had pads uunder the posts however because i didn't drill in the rear posts and the heat and water and such they saw they got distorted in a way. I believe i read the stock ss spoiler used and adhesive tape. Also for the third brake light you can just wire it in but it sets off the abs light or something of that sort. Mine was already off from the removal of traction control so it didn't bother me any. There are write ups to fix that issue though.

I used a factory spoiler on my old 99 Z28 and peeled off the old double sided tape and applied some of my own and it was good to go. As for the light, I just wired mine up with bullet connectors (I believe, I forgot if the connectors matched or not....it was years ago) and I never had any issues with dash lights coming on. It worked just fine for me.

Just finished painting my SS. When I put the spoiler back on I used 3m double sided tape. it works great as a pad and keeps the spoiler from rattling on the decklid.

Just put a 2000 SS spoiler on my 98Z about 3 wks ago the LED plugged into the Z28 spoiler brake light connector no problem. Put alittle foam under the two middle standoffs of the spoiler with 3M tape to keep them from resting or rubbing off paint.
