Default Next step????

Hi guys I have a 96 z28. I am running the car on street tires pacesetter shortys 3.42 gear yank ss3200 converter and a 125 shot of nitrous. The best numbers i got are 12.03 at 113mph. I got the urge to go 11's but don't know what to do next. I was going to put tire but I am scared about the rear. I currently spry it .5 into the run. My new thoughts are to ether do a hot cam or a cat back exhaust because I still have the factory one. Any way I am open to ideas so what so I do next? And would doing the catback get me in the 11 you think? Thank in advance.

Put a real tire on on it and spray it out of the hole. You will get your 11.xx just doing that.

Ya I was thinking that if I spray it out the hole on a et street I could get a 11.7-11.5 but I just don't think the 7.625 rear will handle it. Are long tube really that much better than shortys? How much would a hot cam get me? And what about the cat back?

I have sprayed 150 out of the hole on my ET Street radials many times on a 3.90 geared 10 bolt and it has taken it pretty well. I have a TrickFlow rear cover to add some strength but no problems so far.

Your results may vary.

Ya I might just man up and put some tires on my 10 bolt. What do you guy think of my times is that about right for my mods?
