Default Changing to an Aurburn, cross pin question

Apparently I did not completely think my gear/posi swap out very well. It never occurred to me what diff I have in my 2000 Firehawk. It wasn't until I pulled the cover off I realized the car has the Zexel( I think that's what it's called)that uses the paddle to retain the axles in the carrier.

I have a brand new Auburn clutch type carrier I am wanting to put in. For whatever reason it does not have the cross pin in it.

I tried google earlier and only saw cross pins listed for open diffs. Is a limited slip carrier pin different?

The car has 3.42's in it now, series 3 carrier. The Auburn is also a series 3. Going w/ 3.90's.

I am sure I won't be able to find a cross pin locally on a Saturday.

I have a 89 T/A w/ limited slip diff w/ 3.23's

I also have a 87 S10 Blazer w/ an open 3.73's.

Will either of these have a cross pin that I can use?

Thanks for any help.

Jason

Did you buy your Auburn from a store? In this picture from Summit it looks like they come with the cross pin and bolt.

In a pinch the diff in your '89 TA should be a Auburn and the cross pin 'should' fit your new unit.

I bought it from a friend a long time ago. I never paid any attention to the cross pin not being there. I set the gears up today. Going to rob some parts off the 89 now.
