Body filler on aluminum valve covers?

Body filler on aluminum valve covers? I'm relocating my coils and want to clean up and paint my stock valve covers. Ill also be grinding down the mounting tabs for the coils on the valve covers flat. There are two lines down the length of the covers I want to fill so they are perfectly flat, can I use body filler for that?
