I just got this th350 with about 20,000 miles on it since a rebuild for a steal but after I got it home I realized that 1 on the bolt holes was completely broken off the bell housing. My question is would it be ok to still use the trans for now it's the only thing holding me back from dropping my lq9 in my 86' olds cutlass. I plan to put a 4l60 or 700r4 by next winter anyways. Thanks

On the TH 350 & 400's you only use 5 bolts, the 6th bolt will not line up to the LS blocks.
Don't remember which one that is though.
You maybe lucky and that's the one that's broken off.
If not, I wouldn't bolt it up with only 4 bolts.

You can buy an aftermarket bell housing that will bolt up the pump after cutting the old bell housing off.
