Default Car Chriped 3rd Gear Going 65-70 on Freeway

So I went to get around someone and hesitated for a moment and then got back on the throttle. It sounded like the tranny either downshifted, then upshifted or downshifted two gears because of me going on, off then back on the throttle. Quite to my surprise, the tires chirped. No loss of control, just a chirp. I didn't think I had nearly enough power to worry about that on the freeway.

So my question is, was this a fluke, or is this something I have to be more careful of? Would it really shift into 2nd at 65-70? If I'm driving on the street (20-45mph) and it upshifts over 3000 rpms I sometimes get a little fishtail action, so I'm already trying to tone that down as it is not intentional ether.

This is for my WS6 with 3.23 gears and mods in sig and tires are 275's brand is Nexen with good tread.

With a 3.23 rear it seems reasonable that the trans would downshift to 2nd at up to 70 mph. With my 3.41 rear I tune my trans to downshift into 2nd at up to 75 mph which puts me at 5200 rpm (I have my rev limit set at 7000).
I have to run drag radials to have any traction.

Id say its nothing to worry about. at 65-70 w/ 3.23's your motor would be in the 4400-4800 rpm range Id guess. Clean tires, clean pavement I don't see why getting scratch on the 2-3 isn't possible. At the track in bolt my old bolt 92 l98 Camaro Id chirp third, same with my 94.

Thanks I just wasn't sure if it was normal and would lead to loss of traction. How much power would you need to have to actually worry about that at freeway speeds?
