2002 4l60e horsepower?
How much does everybody think an 02 4l60e with a trans-go Hd-2 shift kit, 25,000 btu cooler, and billet 2-4 servos will hold?
Have the line pressure up decent high and the shifts tuned to shift fast. Been running it behind my car for 3 months with no issues. Im about to get 1 7/8 headers and 3.5" ypipe instead of my shitty eBay 1 5/8 headers and 2.5" ypipe lol should be a 10-20 hp gain over my current setup.. Just seeing if I'm getting to my max since I'm about to go fast 92.!

Its hard to say for sure. I've found if you limit trans abuse you're in good shape. Meaning try not to WOT into lower gears. Use the shifter to manually select the gear before you go wide open, this gives the clutches a chance to grab and hold before power is applied. Plus my builder recommends racing in D, so that's what I do as well.

The automatic downshift from 3/4 to 1/2 causes the 3/4 pack to drag because there isn't enough time for the fluid to drain out of the 3/4 clutch pack apply piston and centrifugal force uses the remaining fluid to apply the clutch pack partially.
That is why these transmission burn up 3/4 so quickly. Much faster if you're hard on it.
There's a fix though, doing the drill mod to the input drum (complete rebuild), then upgrading the steels and clutches in at least the 3/4 drum from the 6 to 7 or 8 set up (might as well do all of the clutch packs while you're in there), on top of the shift kit. Add in a hardened sun shell, a 5 pinion gear set, and you're set to hold a LOT of power.
Horsepower ratings in transmissions and axles are a load of crap really. It's not just about max power, it's also about the traction and load on the other side of it.
