Default How to adjust an Areomotive fuel pressure regularor

I have a 396 lt1 with lloyd elliot top end kit 44 lbs injectors full bolt ons ect ect 255 fuel pump the car has a mail order tune now, but my question is how to adjust the fuel pressure regulator? I bought it used off ebay it looks new... But what should my fuel pressure be set at? Thanks in advance!

Whoever did the tune should spec the pressure setting. To adjust, back off the locknut and unscrew the spindle. Jumper the FP relay so the pump runs, screw in the spindle until you see the correct pressure, then tighten the locknut.

Its just a mail order tune right now i have to take it and get the car dynoed... About what psi should i set it for now? Im having problems starting the car when its hot and it never done it until i installed this FPR... Thanks again

I wouldn't be driving the thing until its been on a dyno

It was on a dyno before i told them what changes ive made with the new build they said just dont be hard on it until i can get it back to them. They want to me drive it for a few miles to get the motor broke in

As most LS people tend to stick with the factory 58psi or thereabouts, just set it at that.

Set with engine running and no vac signal line attached to the reg.

But really you need to speak to whoever supplied the tune as to what fuel pressure you should be using for that tune.
