VSS on th350??

Default VSS on th350??

where do i have to install the VSS (vehicle speed sensor) on a th350 trans? sometimes when slowing down the engine will stall out because i dont have this sensor installed and was wondering if anyone has ever installed it before and where it goes?

It's possible but requires some custom work.

Actually i did a bit more research and found that dakota digital makes an adapter that screws into the speedo cable and sends the signal to the computer. It only sends pulses at 8k so the computer has to be tuned to accept that amount.

Several companies make an adapter that fit into the mechanical speedometer hole and send an electrical pulse. I have no idea if it would work, but Summit has a house brand too:
