I have a '93 Trans Am with stock rear end and I need to know what series carrier it has? 3 series carrier or 2 series? I want to change my gears out to 3.73's.

what gears are in it now will determine what carrier series it is.
if it truly is the original stock untouched rearend,
2.73-2 series
3.08-2 series
3.23-3 series
3.42-3 series

I think 93s' had only 2 ratios 2.73-RPO code GU2,3.23-RPO code GU5

Thanks! It does have the 3:23 gears so that makes it a 3 series.
