99 dakota R/T carb turbo 5.3 swap, TRANS issue i want to do an ls swap into my 99' dakota R/T but i want a 5 speed straight stick and i don't know what trans to use i was anticipating. 5.3 out of an 04 silverado holley intake manifold 800 cfm carb msd box ls9 cam headers backasswards to feed the ebay turbo kit (8psi) im trying to avoid putting in a roll cage for drags because it would not be street legal so i plan on running 11.50 @ 119.998 just to barely keep away from cage any input on trans? do not want 6 speed t-56 way to expensive im doing a "budget build" to prove i can run 11s for less than 3grand i already have slicks and rear tilted for traction

There is a section for manual transmission. It seems the 5 speed manual T5 is not considered strong enough. You would be better off with 4l60 or 4l80 trans for something that is less expensive and durable.
