Not really new, but back with an F-bod!
So this is my 3rd F-body and also my 3rd camaro!
Before: 1994 v6, 2000 Firebird v6, 2010 2SS and now '99 z28
I've been hunting around for a couple of months now, very hard to find a 6-speed for sale in San Diego so I ended up driving out to the desert. I picked up this clean '99 z28 for what I believe was a fair price. It needs a bunch of stuff, and a thorough cleaning but I'm in love again.
This week it's going to get dropped off for:
-Tune up
-All fluids
-Brakes all around
-Tires all around
-New Torque arm to hopefully resolve a clunk in reverse
After all of that I'm hoping I'll be in pretty good shape but who knows. Either way I'm back in an F-body!!

Just got the full diagnosis from the shop!
-Rear end posi is worn out
-Possibly still on the factory clutch...and the trans is probably on its exit routine
-Needs an oil pan gasket and PS pump
Going to wait and see on these things, the PS pump I can do in my driveway and I'm not confident I want to rebuild the 10-bolt yet....The clutch, trans and rear will have to wait a little while
What else is getting done:
-All fluids oil, coolant, trans, rear, brake, clutch
-Water pump
-plugs/wires
-Brake rotors, pads and calipers
-Tires
-Some additional financial planning to pay for a 12-bolt and trans rebuild
-Rear end posi is worn out
