Default New guy from Las Vegas

Hello all, name is jim and im in Vegas. Just bought my first LS1 car, 2004 GTO. Ive owned alot of cars, 240z's were my obsession as well as Fox Body Mustangs and a few early Muscle cars like a Nova's and a couple Chevelles. Probably over 100 cars total. Anyways, im looking to gain lots of knowledge on GTO's and The LS series of engines. Any help is appreciated!! So far my GTO is pretty much stock with the exception of JBA headers, 2nd cat removal and flowmaster super 44's out back. Picked up a Futral Motorsports f14 cam and Comp cams timing chain so far. But with the little knowledge i have found out the F14 might be a little more than i want for a daily driver, should have listened to the tuner the first time and went with a 224r from Texas speed. Planning to add a cam, valve springs, 2800-3000 stall and a tune for a good start. Like i said any help or advice is appreciated.

Welcome Jim, Glad to have ya! Do a minimum stall of 3200 or not worth it IMO, most will say 3600 and I do agree with a cam but I'm just speaking of a noticeable minimum stall.
