best soap for washing
what is the best soap to use when washing your car by hand. i heard before that dawn is good for helping remove built up wax, but that's not what i'm looking for. Just looking for a good overall cleaner. Thanks for any feedback.

I use Meguiars. Cant remember the exact name, but its pretty good.
You're ok to use Dawn some of the time, but being you're right that it does remove wax, you'd be better off not using it everytime you wash your vehicle. And dont use a harsh degreaser on the body either. Unless its diluded, because some of them can also eat through wax, or do funky things to your paint/clear

A light polish such as Vanilla Moose, Menzerna Final polish, Meguiar's Swirl Free Polish, etc.
Or if you are too opposed to that, you could go over it with 50/50 water and alcohol solution.
What type of wax in particular are you talking about?
