Default 4L60E fluid advice

Changing the fluid and filter this week and would like some advice on what fluid you are using. I wanted to use royal purple but it doesn't say DEX 3 on the bottle. It says basically everything but that lol. B&M trick shift says it's not recommended for transmissions from 98+.

Go to wally world and buy the super tech or whatever brand dex3. These trans do fine with cheap fluid, no need for anything fancy.

Yes, skip all the fancy brands. Dex 3 is all you need.
Some people here and I run Dex 6, but there is no proven/known benefit other than supporting 100,000+ changes. IMO fancy name brands are a total waste of money.

I went with cheap Car Quest brand dex3 in my trans and its perfectly fine. You can run dex6 if you want but its not necessary.
