The MTI stage III heads and their S1 cam work superbly with the 422. This package used to be part of MTI 422 build-up before they switch to the 427 block. The S1 cam has a 244 duration and a .612 lift on I&E, with a lobe separation of 112.

Call Dave at Cartek. There heads on my 418 are working well as we dyno'ed over 500 RWHP and RWTQ and we are still not done tweaking. 1-908-654-9993 tell him Redline Motorsports recommended!

Andy I would try a set of 6.0l heads from TEA. They flow like the mad and are way cheaper than the others mentioned. You can also have your chambers done to any cc you need.

Can't go wrong with the battle tested and proven MTI stage III LS6 heads with S1 cam as mentinoed above. I went with the time proven heads/cam on my brand new MTI 427 Ironblock and just put on my first 300 miles this weekend and the CAR IS WICKED FAST! The S1 cam also idle surprisingl well through my 4000 stall A4 tranny on my 98 Vette.
Best of luck,
MTI 427 Roadster
