Converter Choice Help!!!!!
I'm trying to figure out which series converter would work best for this combo!
408 ci thinking 11.5:1, probably APE 6.0 Race Heads, thinking a custom grind 248/252 cam with somewhere around a 612/620 lift, a fast 90mm intake and tb, probably some QTP high velocity merge headers, whichever converter, FLP level IV, eventually a 9in with 3.90 gearing and a 28in slick.
IT WILL be accompanied with a 200hp or better shot of nitrous also!
I'm looking at the converter now so I can go ahead and buy it since I'm going to sell my old vig and old nitrous system as soon I get the old, dead motor the rest of the way outa the car.
I don't plan on changing any of the motor details b/c thats what I have ALWAYS wanted and I'm working on building one now.

The PT 4000 would most certainly NOT be a good choice for this application. I don't know why anyone voted for it. I think some people suggest THEIR converter without regard for the needs of the one asking.
You're going to me making some serious midrange power with that large CI engine to begin with. Now add a 200 shot of spray to it and a PT 4000 stall becomes a 5000+! NOT what you want for running a fairly large shot of nitrous.
The SS4000 would be a good choice if you want to lean a little more towards the NA side of things and the PY3800 would be a great choice if leaning a little more towards getting the most out of your nitrous.
