Default Just finished swap VIG3800 to YTP4200.

I pulled the VIG out today.I put the Yank TP4200 in the car and went for a ride, its very strange.
The car seems better pulling away from a light than the VIGI?

I then hit the tires at 1100 rpms and it crushed the tires hard
It seems to pull harder in the middle too?Very strange to me,It was like the VIGI is soft as the r's go up?

I guess its true,Yanks are more efficient.U guys that have went from a loose VIGI to a TP series,Have u noticed the Yanks being better off of a light but a better hit off the tires and threw the gears?

Joel, did you happen to do a second gear WOT brakestall check on that Vigi? You may have actually gone to a slightly lower stalling converter if the Vigi was well underrated (as we all know they have a habit of doing.) That would explain the TP feeling tighter...that and the higher STR.

While we're at it, what does your TP stall to?

The VIGI in my car flashed stalled to 4300 but its SE was horrible,I lost over 1500 rpm in between shifts. The Yank is decpetive,It feels alittle tighter than the VIGI off a light but in second I can feel the looseness in the verter. The way I have my shift points set both verters werent that bad but it just feels like the VIGI was getting worse at the r's went up,almost like a slipping sensation.I guess thats why I lost 34RW with the VIGI,not very efficient as u go up in stall?

I like this Yank,I;ll do some AT runs this week on boots and see where its flashing too,I think its right around 4300.The better STR (mike did this one with 2.6)makes this puppy feel real good on the street.

I went from a 3200 Vig to a 3600 Yank and the difference was unreal.
The 6vert 0ft times went from a best of 1.78 to consistant 1.5's with a bast of 1.545.
I was happy. 1/4 miles difference was nearly a half sec.
This was a while back and I haven't switched converter companies again.
I now have a 4200 waiting to go in and shall see how much better it is then the 3600.
