Cam advance/retard setting - Any ideas?
I have an LPE GT2 (early version) cam with 205/212, .537/.537, 116 centerline.
Should I bolt this in at standard settings or should it be advanced/retarded for best mid-range street performance? I have an 02 LS6 engine with ported TB, Granatelli MAF and 1 3/4" long tube headers.

I would advance this cam two degrees to 114* ICL, unless it has advance ground in than install straight up. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Are you sure you even want to use that cam in your 2002 LS6 engine?
The stock cam specs for the 2002 LS6 are:
204/218 .551"/.554" 117 LSA
I don't think that GT2 cam will even perform as well as the stock cam.
Your engine would breath alot better with a fairly mild TR220 in it. 220/220 .553"/.553" 114 LSA
The TR220 has a very flat torque curve and excellent throttle response with no loss of low rpm HP.
