Simple. Make sure the rocker is seated squarely on the valve, tighten it to 22 lb ft. and that's it. They are adjustment free.

Jabroni, i guess that 22lb.ft is with stock cam and the stock rockers how about if i go with aftermarket performance cam or aftermarket roller rockers, there should be an offset compared to the stock cam and/or stock rockers, and that offset requires adjusting just like LT1's, isn't that right? thanks.

As long as you stay with a Hyd. Roller, it should be the same, 22ft lbs and that's it. They're set and ready to go.

An LT1 uses an adjustable rocker arm, and you do have to adjust lifter preload.

The LS1 uses a non-adjustable pedestal mount rocker. Torque it to the required 22ft-lbs.

If you have made changes which throw off the valvetrain geometry or lifter preload, you'll have to change pushrods or shim the rocker pedestals to correct it.

...or you could lay out the $$$ for Crane 1.8 roller rockers, which are adjustable.

is adjusting LS1 rockers similar to LT1's or they are different?

i.e. for LT1 rockers you go to zero lash and then 1/4 to 1/2 turn for factory rockers (self locking), and then lock the rockers if they are aftermarket roller rockers.
