whats with the little dip around 6100rpms? it dips both in torque and hp. any ideas?

Probably detonation and timing being pulled. Did you measure A/F ratio? What was it like right there? Any knock retard at that spot? Just some things to check out.
From the looks of it, that car needs to run out some more, like 6700rpm area, that 6400 RPM Hp curve is still going. Just FYI.

yeah the A/F was always pretty good at 13.2-12.9, I dont have the A/F graph with me, but I can have the shop pull it up and see if there was anything going on. The cam is a B1, 114lsa...so maybe sometime this fall I'll take it back and have him bump the rev limter up to 6700 and let her rip

Run Autotap on the car to see if you are getting knock and see what the timing looks like throught the pull as well. A couple degrees of knock can f' things up! I have a couple degrees of knock in my car, I think it's the headers hitting the k-member, I will find out when I install new motor mounts.
