What's the best value in converter right now?
I used to have a Midwest 3400 2.5 and I loved the thing, it was awesome. Then someone smashed in to my old Trans Am. I am getting ready to do another, just wanted to see if there were any other good bang for the buck converters out there.

TCI SSF 3500. 3500 stall, 2.5 STR, $480-$530. I do believe Colonel ran an 11.8X(<--- edited), near full weight, only bolt-ons with one. It performs. Good quality, great customer service.

I ran 1.61/11.82 113.5 MPH internally stock, stock 3.23 gears, stock wheels, on drag radials. Raceweight was 3550. Your results may vary.
It's an AWESOME converter for the money (actually, it would still be a great converter at twice the price, IMO.) For a little more performance try the 3800. The 3500 is very streetable so the 3800 will be ok as a daily driver for many people.
