Help Rounded Head On Rocker Arm Bolt

Try tapping a smaller sized impact socket on the bolt and see if that grips it enough. That's what I did on one. I use a 5/16", 6pt. impact socket now for those bolts.
Otherwise, try a vice grips or cut a slot in the head with a dremel and use a screwdriver on it.
Good luck.

I did that once.Even a good 6 point socket would'nt grab.I took a 3/8 drive 8mm allen head socket and knocked the bit out with a punch. Then I tapped the 3/8 socket end over the rounded bolt with a small hammer......worked like a charm.

I had this exact same problem about 5 months ago . . . I got the extractor kit from Sears, had the thing out in about 10 seconds with it. Save yourself some time and effort and go to Sears. You never know when you'll need 'em again.
