Default STB on/off for the strip

Does a strut tower bar help with chassis stiffening for the track or is it just extra weight on the nose of the car. Who leaves it on and who takes it off?
Thanks

If you are drag racing at the strip and you are going for your best time with less weight, then take it off. It must weight about 4 or 5 pounds. I have one and some time in the future, I am going to take mine off for better ET and weight transfer to the back for better launch. Hope this helps.

Pull it off at the track. I was pulling mine off and putting it back so much that I sold the damn thing.
