How many cars in the 10's with stock rear and a M6
So how many cars have hit in the 10's with the stock rear and a M6 and 4.10's or any other gear for that matter ? I hear alot of horror stories about the stock rear I was just wondering if a few have held to the test of some real punishment <img border="0" alt="[devil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" />

The old MTI 382ci shop car (red Z28) ran 10.40s on nitrous with the stock reareand and T56. Only two passes were made though, that car didn't see alot of track time at all.
Plus, leaving at 3K rpm on nitrous is much easier on the rearend than dumping a clutch at 6K+ rpm.
The best I ran on my stock rearend was 11.15, it didn't last very long after that. I broke 4 of those glass rears before buying a 12-bolt.

10.7 @ 131 mph stock rear with 3.42s
Rev to 5000 rpm and dump as acceleration slows nail the juice and hold on. Im only cutting from 1.58 to 1.62 on avg though.
