Default I need a new tranny, where?

I made a post in the Texas section last night about this. I've never raced my car or taken it to the track but last summer my tranny went out so I took it to Mike @ Century and he said the vig3200 shredded and he rebuilt the whole thing and basically I was told it would be bulletproof. Last night it went out again. I still havn't raced or taken it to the track. I don't get what's goin on or why it would go out, especially for the price I paid to get it rebuilt. I'd like to check other options now than rebuilding it again. Where can I go somewhere in Houston or around it that could get me a new tranny installed like a th350/400 at a decent price? What are yalls opinions? thanks

Agree. Brian will do you right. MY TrannyKing TH400 is an outstanding tranny.

Brian says he can do a TH350 but he can't get a lock-up torque converter for it and it's going to be expensive so there are 2 problems right there. This is my daily driver so I need something done soon. Also, since I do drive it everyday and on the highway, I would at least need a lock-up converter. It looks like 6-speed might be a better choice now

You do not need a TH 350 for a cam only car. Make sure tuning is good. What broke on your tranny.
