Default Comp OEM replacement lifters - orientation?

So, which way do they go?

The instructions said look for an arrow or the word "up", but I don't see one.

And there is a difference in the 2 sides. THere is a small hole in one side.

Which way should I orient that hole? Does it matter?

I don't think it matters I think they might be refering to the plunger side and th roller side? I would say put the hole facing towards the exhaust side IMO. I would think that it wouldn't matter because the oil just holds in the groved portion to provide a thin film of oil for them to ride on ETC... Good Luck! You could also see which way the stockers hole is facing ETC...

I looked at the OEM lifters and they don't appear to have the same hole ... or markings, for that matter.

It doesnt matter which way the oil hole faces. Roller down facing cam, plunger up to hold the pushrod.

What he said... The oil holes are in no particular orienation from the factory. They are in whatever way they happened to get put in that day.
