Default Kinda Disappointed With My New Dyno Numbers

Actually, the numbers are right on for a lid/catback 6 speed LS1. Saturday I dyno'd my car (with 21K miles) and pulled 323 HP / 336 TQ. At 100% stock with 10K miles, I pulled 309/324. I also ran 13.298 @ 106.53 at the track in 80 degree weather with high humidity when I was 100% stock.

But here's what confuses me: I added an MTI lid and a GMMG catback exhaust (and a Ripper shifter, but no power gain there ) and ran the car in about 45 degree weather with low humidity last fall. I clicked off numerous 12 second runs and great trap speeds, the best being 12.816 @ 111.41. With that trap speed, I would have sworn my horsepower would have been 330 - 340 when I dyno'd it Saturday. I tried to AutoTap the car, but there was a problem with the connection and I couldn't get it to work. There might not be anything wrong with my car or those numbers, but I still thought it was a bit low. A buddy of mine said that maybe I'm just a great driver, but even if that's true, that really doesn't have an effect on the trap speed, that would show up more in the E.T.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to bitch and complain here. I know plenty of guys who have had to do a lot more to their car to get 12's out of it. Mine is a bit of a freak. I just thought my numbers were a bit low for 111 MPH trap speeds. Anyone have any thoughts or comments?

The numbers sound realistic....when you ran 111 it was 45 degrees and you probably were making 330-340ish at the wheels. When you were on the dyno I bet it wasn't that cold and the dyno also corrected to SAE.

You are probably correct. I could go out today and run in 60 - 70 degree weather and not pull that trap speed, so that's probably a good reason why.
