Default Skinnies with Nitto street slicks yes/no??

Trying to help my my weight a bit, i have a stock rear and nitto street slicks, 245/50/16 i believe, i was wondering if taking the front sway bar out and adding skinnies will help weight reduction a bit and help with my 60 ft, i.e. less weight on the front etc etc etc.

I am very unfamaliar with sizes for skinnies, can someone please point me to a site that has the proper size and fitment for a 2002 firebird transam? Tires and wheels. Nothing fancy (wheel wise). Thanks very much.

No doubt, removing the front swaybar and switching to skinnies will help you 60 ft better.

I'd go with 4.5x15" Hoosier skinnies and 3.5x15" Weld Draglights (they have a backspacing of 1.75".) You'll also need 3/16" spacers.

Exactly like the Colonel said. I ran 17 inch Nitto's in the rear and skinnies on the front at the track, and the ET's came down significantly.

Skinnies definitely will help. Are you going to use them for track use only, or on the street also? I think that the Hoosier fronts are for drag use. I run my skinnies on the street. I picked them up at Pep Boys for like $29 each, the size is P165R15.

centerline convo pros
15x4 1.75 b.s.
