Default Installing new wiring harness

ok a few days ago i kinda ruined my factory wiring harness so i clipped all the wires and took it off and got a new one. When I did that my dash guages stopped working.(Gas, Speedo, tack). I thought it was becuase i took off the harness but I just installed a new one and the head-unit or the dash does not work. Im thinking maybe I shorted something?? Anyone have any idea? I dont think I installed the harness wrong, but Im gonna go re-install it again.
Thanks
