Default 4 channel rear into a car with 3 channel ABS?

I know the difference between the abs provisions for a TCS car versus a non-TCS car. The question is... Will a TCS rear end work in a non-TCS car?

TIA

I would try and contact caspers electronics, they can build you a GM weather proof wire splice. Then it would look like factory. Caspers has a websit. Hope this helps

im not sure if your abs would still work. a couple of people have wanted to do this to be able to run a 9" with abs on a 3 channel setup, but no luck so far.

short of pulling the unit apart, adding the posi mounted 3 ch tone ring, drilling the housing and ading the sensor I've been trying to do this for months with no luck on an electrical adapter.
the 4 ch axle rings have 47 teeth, the 3 ch posi ring has 110. the cars pcm wants the pulse it was designed for. how to adapt the axle pulse to mimick the posi pulse fooling the pcm is the hurdle. Plus, if it's not perfect your sensor could tell the computer your skidding and activate ABS randomly

Somebody should invent this adapter to work both ways as the need is here, but until then it's best to buy a rear with your style already built in.

I just asked this about a week ago. I did a search, but didn't come up with anything off hand. I do try that first aswell.
SUX2BU and Chief455 were very helpfull with this. I can PM you the conversation from Chief455 where he was very detailed with the responses and let me pick his brain with different what if questions.
