ok ill be driving and out of nowhere... my rpm gauge drops to zero along with the fuel gauge and temp gauge at the same time the Service Vehicle light comes on along with the brake light, abs inop light, air bag light and ASR off light if i continue to drive for a while everything will go back to normal with the exception of the Service Vehicle light, most of the time everything is fine.. all gauges work with no trouble lights

It sounds like your are losing a battery/alternator connection while driving. Is your PCM connectors tight? What about you battery cables? Ignition Switch OK?

would the car still run if i lost connections to the alternator?

runs fine while these things are going on

Are you sure your Guage Cluster is not damaged or is becoming disconnected. If you have the key on and pull it out and plug it back in it will do a complete reset and all the lights will light up like you are saying but the car would still run.
