Default Crazy O2 readings: offscale rich or super lean?

So I was using my Predator during a nitrous run today and the front O2s went to .050 & .040 in the middle of the run. I was like holy **** and shut the car down thinking I had a fuel noid faluire. Fuel noid checked out fine and their was still some fuel in the nozzles so I got thinking, the Predator only reads three places with no dicimal point (actually read 050 & 040). Could this be an off scale rich condition? The car didn't loose any power and it didn't detonate at all. What do you guys think happened? I need to get my damn LM-1 set up in the car.

BTW: The car's O2s were in the low .800s right before this happened because it always goes lean for a quick second when I first hit it.

It would read higher if it was really rich. If you were THAT lean, something bad would've happened by now. Did you try it again after this happened? Might've just been a glitch in the O2 readings? Sometimes they do crazy things...

It did it again today, I tested the noid again and it's dead.

Glad you found it before the motor went boom.

You went dead lean and got lucky. This is a good example of why I prefer a dry kit. No fuel 'noid to worry about. MAF sensors and injectors are far more reliable in my experience.

I don't know how lucky I got yet, found some metal in the oil the other day. I ran a 5177 for over a year but I was having to run my N/A tune way rich to get the car to not lean out on the nitrous. I just ordered a dyno tune switch that shuts the nitrous down in a lean situation.
