Any F.a.s.t. Tuning Help - 5.7 With 13.5 Psi
I am looking for anyones help with some FAST ecu tuning issues that I have. Mostly cold driveability, idling and starting. Also looking for a complete glossary of FAST sensors. Anybody willing to share their .GCT file so I may get more familiar with the software.
Thanks

Some ideas ...
1) If your throttleblade has a set screw, open them as much as possible to make sure enough air is getting in.
2) Make sure the operational and fuel parameters are set correctly. (Engine CID, timing reference, injector constant, firing order, MAP sensor, etc...)
3) The 05-30-04 file was an initial config done for a 408SBC running nitrous. This was done by a professional tuner. While the values in this config might be way off from what you'll end up with, the overall shapes of the curves and table setups will give you an idea of where to be.
4) There is an "unofficial fast manual" which I coped to my
site for archive purposes ... http://jon.shoberg.net/CarStuff/FAST...al-FAST-Manual
It will give you an overall idea of the tables. However, I was not able to pull significant value from it.
5) You'll want to read over the Holley Command 950 manual
http://holley.com/HiOctn/ProdLine/Pr...Cmdr%20950.pdf
Pages 28 to 58 cover baseline and additional EFI tuning. The Commander 950 is simmilar to the FAST. I believe John Meaney consulted on the Holley product. While its not an exact 1 to 1 reference for tuning its probably the best thing on the web right now. It will describe in more detail the table uses and setups.
Read those 30 pages closely. Read them again. Re-read them again. You'll want to make some time for really understanding whats going on there. It helped me go from a FAST setup that would barely cold crank to firing right up and part throttle being right on. Havn't fully started with WOT and part throttle and timing yet. I'm just in the cranking, idle, and 0 to 80 kpa in the idle to 3500rpm.
Good luck ...
