getch rpo comp answer questions please??
The g-tech pro cometiton.
How accurate is it on times, and hp.
Will it tell you 1/8 time without running the whole 1/4 mile. (so you can run it while running a 1/8 track).
Fun toy??
and once you know how much it is off as fare as accuracy is it consistantly off htat much.

i would not quote hp or track times from it,
however it is presise on the CHANGES in hp.
lets say it told you you have 300 rwhp,
you add a new mod it says you have 310 hp. you might have more or less real hp but you can be pretty sure that you GAINED about 10 hp.
so it makes a good tool for testing gains without paying 100 bucks at the dyno every time...
other then that its a fun toy

My friend has one and it does give you a little less hp but it is consistent. The more accurate you can get your weight the closer you are to your actual hp. The reason it give a lower hp is because it calculates hp from your time, distance and g's. So where a dyno doesnt have to go against aerodynamics and spinning the gtech gives actual hp that was put to the ground during the run.
From what he told me you can take it to the track with you and adjust it to the times you recieve at the track and make it more accurate. The worst his was off was his first run which was .15 off. He got it accurate to .05 before he left.
Like jaberwaki said it will at least be consistend in telling you your gains from mods.
