Default PVc how often to change

can a pvc valve be tested just by shaking it to hear the ball inside slide back & forth?
How often should it be replaced
3. anyone have pics or instructions on a vertical pvc install and it's benefits on oil consumption.

I was gonna change mine,went to the dealer to get one an they don't even stock them.

I put a new PCV valve in at 30k miles. The one I pulled out still rattled, but they are cheap so it wasn't a big deal to replace it. GM Part number 25179136. $5.71 from the dealer. You can also get the Fram FV391 at your local autoparts store for about $3.

Default PCV how often to change

Can I test the PCV by shaking it to hear if it's not stuck, Looked at Install U. I want to install a new pcv vertical hoping in reducing oil consumption, anyone one have better pics of this install, and what is the part # of the 90 degree pcv. lastly how often should it be changed

I change mine every year. They are not too expensive and Autozone usually has them in stock. Why don't you just buy a catch can from our sponsor AMW http://www.accmachtech.com/ everyone here seems to like them. I'd opt for that setup instead of a 90* PCV.
