whistling sound

whistling sound dont know where this should go but here it is
when my z is up to temp ,in gear, brake on ,loud whistle noise heard.
driving can sort of hear it too (exhaust loud)put car in neutral sound goes away. in park sometimes hear it also.
any ideas? help please .
bad trans?
intake gasket?
exhaust?

Mine does it too , but I know that my whistling sound is coming from my intake. Some aftermarket lids are known to do this; there is even a lid called the Whistler I believe.

Its a turbo - got snuck on :-D
Do you have a ported/aftermarket throttle body? Mine whistled ESPECIALLY on startup then died down after a bit. Could still hear it when driving a tad. Dont know why brakes or gear selection would matter much.

My buddy's 2000 Z28 makes that whistling sound and we found it to be the power steering box. Under hard accel or after doing a few donuts the power steering box just whistles like a blower
