PCM tricker for a4 to TH400
I'm gonna go TH400 instead of the 4L60E. I read a blurb in another post about a Yank "PCM Tricker". Anyone have info on this? Does this prevent the need to reflash to an m6 program?

I have found a price in their website...but that was it. No real info on it and how it works. Price looks to be in the $250 range. Which from what i am seeing you can get a good tuner to reflash to a M6 program on your computer for less....maybe.......

I'm likely gonna go with the TCI Competition 400 out of Jegs/Summit. I had one in my last car and it performed flawlessly. I also just heard from a friend that he'll give me his TH350, but it will need to be built before I slap it in or it isn't gonna last. I'm trying to figure out what'll be the best way to go.
Can I do what I need with the HP tuners software too? I'm really trying to avoid relying on tuners/speed shops anymore.

If you have an A4 and are swapping in a TH400, don't use the M6 file ... just buy the GM parts that bolt in to your TH400, this provides the computer with the necessary signal it needs. Otherwise with the M6 file, you need to multiply the signal by 2.5 times for the speedo to show the correct speed.
Part numbers are:
sensor: 8655291 - replaces speedo cable drive on TH400
reluctor: 8655315 - goes inside trans (TH400)
pigtail: 12085498 - splices on to your OE harness

I was more referring to the PCM thinking the car was always in Park with the TH400 'cause it isn't getting a signal from the trans, thus is doesn't use the correct spark/fuel maps for a "loaded" state (I am VERY inexperienced when it comes to tuning, so please correct me if this is not an issue).
I really don't care if I have a speedo working or not, but thanks for the p/n's.
