skinnies??
I was just doing some thinking and here I am....
My car isn't currently modified like crazy - by summer it will have headers, but no H/C package or anything. Anyway, what I was wondering was since I'm not going power crazy here, I would like to drop some weight. So I'll be taking the seats out and the spare tire, etc, but what about tire. I mean 275s on 17inch rims weigh a ton so what if I put some skinnies on. How much weight difference is there?? Also how much do skinnies run and do you have to modify anything like calipers or anything. I would really only be putting them on to go to the track occasionally - not like every week or anything, maybe once a month - at least not yet. just kind of want some opinions.

Re: skinnies??
you will save about 50# with skinnies. if you are only going to use them at the track, i would say get some et fronts. i run 165 metric radials every day on the street. run a 15x3.5 inch rim with 1 3/4 backspacing(which i do beleive is all you can get) and a 5/16 spacer and you can bolt them right up with no grinding.
