What is this strange noise? A funny thing happened on the way to the races ... well, acutally it happened there. Last pass, I was getting a pretty loud tapping from the engine. I was fairly disgusted since I had spent Thursday evening running the valves since one of the Comp Pro Mag rockers had backed off. Now it had happened again??? It was still tapping when I unloaded at home and put it in the garage. Next day, I drove it onto the lift, and it was quiet. I pulled the covers and all the rockers are OK. Where did my noise come from and where did it go??? Is this just wierd behavior of Comp R lifters?
