You could get away with either a 26x4.5 or a 28x4.5. I don't know if you'd have any clearance issues with the 28's on the front or not.
IMHO, the 28" would look a little better, but you may not want the other side effects of the taller front tire. Or, you may want them.
Expect R/T's to get a little worse, and 60' times to get a little better (due to the increased rollout).
In contrast, I just switched to a ~25" radial tire on the front for the decreased rollout to help R/T's on a pro-tree, since I'm still planning on running NHRA S/ST next year.
I bet I'll have the only LS1 in the world with a CO2 powered throttle stop on it. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
