Is there a virus that messes with your e-mail coming from this site? I keep getting weird delivery failures from e-mail I did not send and other e-mail that comes with attachments that don't open and ask if you want to save it to disk.

I ask because I recieved an E-mail from PRO STOCK JOHN warning me of this virus after it was too late.

Other e-mail is LS1 related.

Any clues? How do I get rid of this?

BTW one of the e-mails was commenting on the ARE 8 second run thread.

It read something like this on the heading.

Harry Hartman, I agree on the ARE ?? Then there was an attachment.

Its not coming from this site, its called the Klez virus and someone you know has an infected PC and has your email address on their address book. It will generate its own emails (with attachments in the 118-140K size) to spread itself. Most of the time the email address that appears in the "from" spot isn't really where it is from. It usually comes from someone else and just pastes a random address in the from spot.

I get about 10 klez virus emails per day, I just don't open any emails with an attachment unless I am expecting one from someone.

Also, Check the security settings in your email program. Make sure its set NOT to open any potentialy hazardous attachments.

If your using Outlook Express it goes like this.

Tools ---> Options

Options ---> Security

I just got my first Klez worm the other day but, it got caught by OE. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />

Thanks John. I did it. Mine was not checked. Is there a cure for this? Am I infected now just because I am recieving these e-mails? I downloaded F-Secure. Will this take care of it?

Is there a better anti-virus protection?
