Like many people who have discovered the power of an LS1...I too have been bitten by the mod/racing bug. My mods are fair, nothing that is a big "power adder". My best time was a 13.4 in 89* weather...humidity haha forget about it (South Texas)...explains it all. My tires, suspension, tranny, and rear end are all stock...even the 2.73's . I want some advice as to what i can do to make my car a weekend warrior but still be tame for the street. Any info about modifications and parts I need to accomplish this would be great!! I really want to get started as soon as possible.

Gears, Gears, Gears Depend on what you have I'm assuming A4 if you have 2.73. I would go with 3.73 got min from richmond for around 220$ Motive is good too. I would get the instalation kit about 120$. Shop around for good shop. As well as shop rate. I think for a ring and pinion swap it calls for about 5 hrs so depending on the shop rate and skill of mechanic could cost about 300$ to 450$ for them to install. Hope this helps.

look into gears since its fairly cheap but gets good gains. after that get a torque converter and those mods will make it feel like a new car
