Default flexplate/tranny shield

i posted this in the drivetrain section but thought i'd get better responses over here. i was wondering if anyone here is using a flexplate/tranny shield for a th350? it looks kinda tight in the tranny tunnel. which one are you using and how was the fit? thanks.

No way you'll squeeze a shield under the stock floorpan. You'll have to use a tranny blanket (which are legal, BTW).

I have a RCI blanket, but I thought they were not good enough to be NHRA legal?

i was actually considering getting the CSI shield from jeg's. but seeing how tight it is around the tranny, i didn't want to be the first to try it. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> looks like i'm gonna stick w/ the tranny blanket instead.

That's a good question. I am going to need one for my TH400 soon. Does anyone have any ideas?

Maybe I was the first to try it? I returned the thing. I wanted to give it a chance, it says it works well in applications with little space

well ive got the csi complete shield that covers the bellhousing and the tranny, it is very tight but fits very well all that is required is alittle clearancing on the edge of the tranny tunnel a few dings and it will go right in. its very nice but is a pain to install due to the allen head bolts they send with the shield.
