Can the IAC be turned off effectively? It is an annoying little turd. I mean, I am sure someone is going to say it is not a good idea...but still...the IAC is annoying. It should have limits to keep it from fidgeting.

I am just curious why you would want this? You can unplug it.

I like things neat. I have never heard the results of somebody eliminating it. It would be sweet though....I could epoxy that whole part of the throttle body, LOL.

We had it off in our race car (the 8 sec one)

If you have your timing and fuel correct, it actually works pretty good with it off. Actually revs like a race car then too.

The cam was retarded big though.

Sweet.

I would like to hear anybody else that has done this, and how it worked out for them.

I want my car to rev clean, but has that annoying EFI hesistation if you try to snap rev it. Could this be done with my car Kevin, since my cam is pretty big?? Any drawbacks to disabling it on a car like mine?

I don't know how much good it will do on your car. The supercharger is going to be stuffing alot more air in with all the reving (even though the bypass is open).
