Default Whats the best way to take off the front sway bar?

I was trying to get it off and almost had the bolt undone but now that the bottom i cant get the socket in the whole because it moved over so only half the bolt is in the circle the hole makes and the other half is up in there. The car was jacked up so i dont know if that has anything to do with it.

Are you talking about the endlinks? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

I've found it easier to get the endlinks out when the front suspension is loaded.
